Good Soil Evangelism & Discipleship
Filed Under: Good Soil E&D in General
This site is the base site for Good Soil Evangelism and Discipleship (E&D). It gives an overview of the core Good Soil E&D theology and ministry resources, as well as information related to seminars, projects, resources, translations, and "good soil" stories.
Beginning With Moses
This website focuses on Biblical Theology. The greatest value of the site is the collection of articles (see the menu at the top of the Home page) written by a variety of scholars, professors, and ministers, including D.A. Carson, Darrell Bock, Graeme Goldsworthy, and many others. As with any external resource such as this, we certainly cannot vouch for everything taught in every article or other resource on the site.
BibleMesh—A New Way to Learn the Bible
One God, one book, one story--BibleMesh provides resources that help people learn the comprehensive story of Scripture and apply it to all aspects of life.
Facebook Good Soil Fan Page
Filed Under: Good Soil E&D in General
This is a social networking (Facebook) "face" for Good Soil Evangelism and Discipleship. The primary purpose of this fan page is to promote Good Soil E&D to people who otherwise wouldn't be aware of it. Also, major Good Soil announcements are made here in order to communicate "what's happening" with Good Soil E&D among those who have attended Good Soil seminars.
GoodSeed
This is the home site for resources developed by John Cross—The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus, By This Name, All the Prophets Have Spoken, The Lamb, etc. There are also some excellent “chronological Bible teaching” related articles that can be downloaded from this site.
New Tribes Mission Books
The Firm Foundations Bible study material and a good variety of other chronological Bible teaching resources are available from this site.
Resource Articles - From Answers in Genesis
Filed Under: Metanarrative (ChronoBible) Evangelism
Lots and lots of good resources for dealing with potential "story stopper" questions that may arise as you take someone through The Story of Hope. The ministry of Answers in Genesis is based upon the same fundamental concepts as Good Soil E&D--the foundation for the gospel is presented in Genesis and flows from there through the remainder of the Bible.
Rose Publishing
Filed Under: The Story of Hope
In addition to the many other excellent Bible study-teaching resources available from Rose Publishing, we especially recommend their resources dealing with the Old Testament tabernacle. The Rose Book of Bible Charts, Maps, Time Lines is also a helpful resource for use with The Story of Hope. The cutaway drawing of Noah’s ark is particularly helpful in clarifying the size and functionality of the ark.
The Gospel Coalition
The Gospel Coalition is a group of (mostly) pastors and churches in the Reformed heritage, led my D.A. Carson, John Piper, Tim Keller, C.J. Mahaney, and others. Their website is a hub for the circulation of sermons, studies, and discipleship resources.
The Greatest Story Never Told
Filed Under: Good Soil E&D in General
The subtitle, Recovering Biblical Literacy in the Church, sums up the focus of this Christianity Today article. The author presents a sad but realistic analysis of the lack of Bible knowledge possessed by members of typical evangelical churches in North America. There is no wonder then that biblical illiteracy among modern (or should I say "postmodern") non-Christians in America is as appalling as it is. The essence of this article underscores the need for Good Soil Evangelism and Discipleship.
The LifeBook Project - Student Ministry Founded by the Gideons
Filed Under: Metanarrative (ChronoBible) Evangelism
“God’s Word for Every Student” is the motto for this project. The mission is to place God’s Word in the hands and hearts of every high school student in the USA, by working through local church youth ministries.
The Tabernacle Place
This is an excellent “all you need to know about the tabernacle” website. It is owned by the people who publish the book, The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus (which we highly recommend). From this site you can learn all about the Old Testament tabernacle and also order visuals to aid you in teaching others about the tabernacle’s structure and functions.
Why Johnny Can’t Read the Bible
Most Americans—including Scripture-loving evangelicals—cannot name the disciples, the Ten Commandments, or the first book of the Bible. But that's not our biggest biblical illiteracy problem. Even weekly churchgoers who know the names and places struggle to put it all together and understand the Bible as a single story of redemption.
