Author: Tim Keller. The subtitle is "Leading the Secular to Christ." Every culture hostile to Christianity holds to a set of "common sense" beliefs that automatically make Christianity seem implausible to people. These are what philosophers call "defeater beliefs." Keller explains how to deconstruct non-Christian beliefs that must be overcome before an unbeliever will accept core beliefs of the Christian faith.

  • The Roots of Faith—OT Course Design Document

This is the course design document (syllabus) for students enrolled in or interested in the Old Testament section of The Roots of Faith: Exploring the Bible from Beginning to End.  The course involves 40 hours of class time (five full days, Monday-Friday).  It covers 50 Bible stories/events from the overall BIG REDEMPTIVE STORY of the Bible.

  • The Roots of Faith - Overview

The Roots of Faith is the extended version of The Story of Hope that includes 100 stories from the Bible’s Big Story of redemption, 50 from the Old Testament and 50 from the New Testament.  We sometimes call it “a Biblical centipede that doesn’t limp” because every era in the Bible’s Big Story is included, even the 400 years between the Old and New testaments.  Each of the 100 stories is summarily illustrated by one of the images from our new, high quality Good Soil image collection.
